Karen Hargot
Karen Hargot is a somatic naturotherapist and a member of the team at Bhavana la Clinique.
Through Karen’s curiosity about processing her own challenging life experiences through her body, she has developed a deeper understanding of the connection between our bodies, our nervous systems, and movement development. In her practice, she guides people through earlier parts of their development—times they might have missed or not experienced fully—to support their own growth and capabilities. Her approach weaves together her trainings in recreational therapy, yoga therapy, meditation, primitive reflex integration, and the trauma recovery approach of Somatic Experiencing.
Karen explores collaboratively how presence, safety, courage, autonomy, pleasure, and growth intersect for each client through movement and touch. Her work predominantly focuses on Complex PTSD in adults, and specifically with the recalibration of issues related to overwhelm, dissociation, anxiety, depression, impulsivity, addictions, grief, and anger. She follows a humanistic, neuro-affirming, person-centered, strengths-based approach.
Karen cherishes making space for new insights to occur. She enjoys cultivating awareness, authenticity, belonging, and joy. She is intrigued by the unique qualities of each person she meets, and she endeavors to empower others by sharing her resources and support.
