Maude Bouchard‑Fortier

Acupuncturist

Maude Bouchard-Fortier has been an acupuncturist since 2018 and has been part of the Bhavana la clinique team ever since.

Her interest in Chinese medicine began long before her acupuncture training, through the practice of taijiquan and qigong, which she has explored since 2009. She deepened her relationship with the body and movement through basic training in TuiNa, a traditional Chinese massage.

HER BACKGROUND

Trained in science education, she has worked in a variety of settings, from preschool to high school. This background nurtured a strong interest in human communication and in sharing complex knowledge in a sensitive, accessible way. In acupuncture, these skills help her build bridges between the thinking of Chinese medicine and Western points of reference.

Also trained in visual arts, Maude pursues the same search for presence and humility, the same intimate relationship with life, in both her therapeutic and artistic practices.

THEIR APPROACH

In her practice, she favours a holistic approach, attentive to the physical, emotional and relational dimensions of human experience. She welcomes in particular people living with complex issues or ones that are hard to name. Having gone through chronic pain herself, she places great importance on listening, respecting each person’s pace and the quality of presence in the therapeutic relationship.

Her intention is to offer a safe, human space where the body can once again become an inhabited and trustworthy place.
