Myriam Lavoie
TRA, counselling therapist
Myriam is a TRA, thérapeute en relation d’aide® (counselling therapist), and a member of the Bhavana la clinique team. She holds a bachelor’s degree in music, as well as professional diplomas in counselling (CRAM®) and massage therapy.
Driven by a deep curiosity about human experience and mental health, she is currently pursuing university studies in psychology as well as training in Somatic Experiencing® and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
This interdisciplinary path nourishes an in-depth understanding of the human being in their bodily, emotional and psychological dimensions, and leads her to welcome each person as a whole while honouring their uniqueness.
Alongside her private practice, she co-leads workshops for people experiencing stress or burnout. In her practice, Myriam supports adult clients facing relationship challenges and various everyday difficulties.
Her approach is grounded in humanistic psychology, where the quality of the therapeutic relationship and attention to present-moment experience play a central role. She offers a space to slow down, settle and acknowledge what is being experienced.
She favours attentive listening, authentic presence and deep respect for each person’s pace. Sensitive to power dynamics, she adopts a stance of openness and humility, recognizing each person as the expert on their own experience.
Her support helps you explore what matters to you, better understand your reactions and ways of functioning, and cultivate a more harmonious relationship with yourself and others.
